TN-1X
Overview

The TN-1X is an SDH multiplexer, which has two STM-1o transport aggregates and meets ETSI standards. It supports a variety of configurations that include linear (protected and unprotected), add/drop multiplexer in linear chain and ring configurations. The platform can map and transport VC12, VC3, and VC4 containers. The tributaries available depend on the Release of the TN-1X. Line protection is provided by SNC-P protocol and tributary protection is available in certain releases.

The TN-1X is managed directly from the TN-MS EC-1 Element Controller.  The EC-1 operates on a Hewlett Packard workstation and falls under the Element Manager Layer on the network management hierarchy. The system has a Graphical User Interface, and handles functions like configuration and connection management, alarm monitoring, security management and logging reports. The EC-1 can control up to 128 nodes in the TN-1X family of products.
